Amelia Larkin

Hunt Seat Class of 2027

About Me

My name is Amelia Larkin. Graduation year 2027. I am currently a junior at the Griffin School in Austin, TX. I have been showing in the 3’3 junior hunters for the past two years and recently stepped up into the 3’6 equitation, earning champion at my first show. I also started in the jumpers, taking third in the 1.05 m open division. I have been an active member of the Salado Elite Riders, a local IEA team, for four years, consistently qualifying for and competing at zones each year.

I’ve been riding and working at Bit By Bit Farms for six years, and riding for a total of eleven. I’m a hard worker and always happy to contribute in any way that I can. Grooming for myself and others at shows, working for my trainers at our home shows on numerous occasions, and schooling and riding as many horses as possible are just a few examples.

I would make a great addition to any team because I’m a fun, energetic person to be around, and I always strive to make others feel amazing. I’m so excited about the recruiting process and the opportunity to ride in college.

Other Accomplishments

I am also involved in various other activities and sports at my high school. I run on the cross-country and track teams in long-distance events, placing 4th at state in both the track and cross-country seasons in 2024. In the fall of 2024, I played on the JV volleyball team, subbing for varsity and getting a point in the last game of the season; I loved the team aspect. Additionally, I am part of my school’s National Honor Society and have been for since my sophomore year.
